Tonight’s story is about
whatever they dream up.

Whisper a few words. NiteTale weaves a gentle, narrated tale with your child as the hero, ready in a couple of minutes, and quiet enough to fall asleep to.

tonight’s tale

the ask

“Another one. A new one.”

You’ve read every book on that shelf a hundred times. The same three books, the same three endings, and a child who is nowhere near closing their eyes. What they want is a story nobody has told yet, about the thing they were thinking about today.

NiteTale gives you one every night, so you can put the phone face down and stay for the ending.

how it works

Three small steps between “not tired” and asleep.

Create screen with the wish “Tell me a story about little knight Johnny, whose defeat a dragon” and the PL / EN voice toggle
Library screen titled “Your stories” with a story ready to download and earlier tales listed with their durations
Player screen “Owl Lights the Lantern” with concentric rings around a gold disc and playback controls
  1. Whisper a wish

A few words are plenty. Name your child, pick a place, add a dragon if it was a dragon kind of day. Choose Polish or English for the voice.

  2. It is woven

In two or three minutes the story is written, read aloud by a calm voice. It lands on tonight’s shelf, ready to keep.

  3. Play it tonight

Lights low, phone down. Rings drift with the voice, fifteen-second skips if someone needs a bit repeated, and nothing autoplays after the end.

the hero

They are in it.

Say a name and the story is theirs: their name, their dog, the puddle outside the school. The tale is built around the wish, not pulled from a shelf, so it can be as small and particular as today was.

  • their name, spoken by the narrator
  • Polish or English voice, chosen per story
  • about anything: knights, snails, the moon

read along

The same shelf, three different nights.

Pick a wish. This is what the app made of it, word for word, with the text that scrolls under the voice.

from your wish

“a kind owl lighting the village lanterns”

Owl Lights the Lantern

in English · 2:09

The lanterns of the village were sleepy that evening,

and the owl, in her tidy little coat of feathers,

knew it was her turn to light them.

One by one she lifted her wing,

and one by one the lanterns winked awake,

like small moons remembering their names.

and then, sleep

Made to be listened to with the lights off.

Everything after you press play is designed to fade into the background, including the app itself.

  • A calm voice, unhurried

The narration is slow and low, with room to breathe. No sound effects, no jump cuts.

  • Nothing plays next

When the story ends, it ends. No autoplay, no suggestions, no lit screen waiting for a tap.

  • Read along, if they like

The full text scrolls under the voice for children who want to follow the words.

  • Saved to the phone

Once a story is kept it plays offline, on the train, at grandma’s, in the tent.

What happens to your words.

Your wish makes one story

The words you type are sent to our servers to write and narrate that story. We do not use them to build a profile of your child or to advertise anything.

Stories live on your phone

A finished story waits on our servers for about a day so you can download it. After that it exists only where you kept it.

There is nothing in the app that is paid for by your attention. Free stories are free; Premium is a subscription you cancel in your app store account.
